DueBuddy

The main motive of our client behind building this platform was to make recharging easier for retailers, because there are a lot of recharge platforms for users, but none for retailers.

what?

You guys must have visited a flexi recharge shop in your local neighbourhood market. And you must have seen them all confused with a lot of cell phones, one for each operator recharge. And then there are other things like keeping record of all the recharges they have done, so that there won’t be any problem in the future. It’s a hectic task, if you ask them. Taking these things in mind, our client decided to make a one of a kind Business to Business recharge platform for retailers where they can do recharges of any operator easily through a single device and keep the records of the same as well. This is how DueBuddy was created.

the idea

The main motive of our client behind building this platform was to make recharging easier for retailers, because there are a lot of recharge platforms for users, but none for retailers. This was meant to be a multi-level system, where there are four types of users, with one being the admin, and others coming under him in multiple levels. And the dashboard for all the users had to be fluid and feature-rich, yet easy to use. Each type of users should have their own set of functionalities.

our approach

This was again, a multi device system, which had Android apps and a website. So, to make everything connected and flexible, we decided to work with APIs. Also, making the same android app for all the 4 types of users would not only make the application bigger in size, but also make it more complicated. We don’t like our apps to be big or complicated. So we decided to make 2 different apps. That made the platform much simpler. Also, the website had to fully responsive and should have all the features that the app had, for the retailers who may not have android phones.

Also, we wanted our algorithms and APIs to be very flexible, so that if our client want to change his Recharge API Partners in the future, he could easily do that. Also, there were too many features that we had to integrate in this platform, so we had to take good care of the User Experience, because we didn’t want our user to get lost on the website or the app. We provided quick links on the dashboard, made the navigation menu clean and simple for user to find any page easily, and most importantly, made the website completely responsive to different screen sizes, including tablets and mobiles.

the outcome

After spending days on database design, and weeks on platform designing and development, we finally had a product which we knew would rule the Flexi Recharge Market. It had everything it needed to succeed: Responsive design, flexible algorithms and APIs, and all the features that a user might need.

Our client was very excited when we showed him the final product. He literally said, “This is exactly what I wanted my product to be.” Now that is some compliment for us developers, right. It meant we made him happy, and making clients happy is what we want to do.
